Research on Student School Expenses in Nigerian Universities - 2004

Spread Corporation liaises with professors and teachers of the institutions in the areas where CBUS units are located to provide our acquisition officer with their upcoming semester lists of recommended books and study materials (at least a semester early.) These are then ordered in time for use by students and professors. Because the books remain the property of SPREAD CORPORATION - CBUS, they could be used year after year by generations of students, even as new and current publications are added.

For access to current study and scholarly materials, Spread Corporation, through its CBUS project, will charge students an annual fee that is just a small fraction of their average semester expenditure on books and materials that are, at any rate, not adequate and are not current

Average College or University Student
Final Year Students
Students in Nigerian universities spend an average of N1000 per semester photocopying study materials (and dated and a times dubious materials at that) and another N500 on Internet access. Final year students' expenses usually double the average for fresh, sophomore, and third-year students
